Thank you for joining me here! My name is Marissa and I am the owner of Marissa Leigh Photography. Welcome to my first blog note ever! I have thought about starting a blog for a while now, but writing has never been a strength of mine. I am always worried about how I will come across. I am more of a math and science girl, with an artistic flare, yet here I am, blogging. Blog is such a funny word, isn’t it!? I am also here for your entertainment purposes, so hopefully you’re giggling at me (even a smirk will do). Short story time, so I took a child development class in college, and my professor told me that he really enjoyed reading my paper. I was so thrilled!!! I let him know that my English teacher’s did NOT appreciate my writing “skills”. He told me that he could see why & I laughed at his bluntness because I totally set myself up for that. I’m much better at entertaining than writing, so this is my attempt at entertaining you. I really want my clients to get to know me and see who I am. Photography can be very emotional and intimate and you want to make sure you align with the person capturing your special memories. I’m not for everyone and that’s okay with me. There’s so many talented artists and each person is unique and that’s what makes it so fun! If you couldn’t tell, newborn photography is my absolute favorite, but I love all kinds of portrait photography. As of lately, I have been taking photography classes because I want to perfect my work. Learning is exciting and growing your skills is even more exciting! Anyways, that’s all I have for now.
