Frequently Asked Questions

1 / What month should you do a newborn photoshoot?

Best time to do the newborn session is 6-14 days of your baby's age.  The general rule of thumb if looking to achieve those curly, snuggly, sleepy newborn poses, is to hold your newborn session within those first two weeks of life. I always suggest aiming to hold our newborn session around days 8-10. Don't miss to capture this unique phase of your baby.

2 / When should I take maternity photos during pregnancy?

The ideal time to schedule your maternity photo session is usually in the third trimester, between 26 and 34 weeks (around the 7th and 8th month of pregnancy). Once you're in your last trimester, your belly starts to become more pronounced, with a nice round shape. But this time can vary depending on your body.

3 / Why are newborn pictures so expensive?

The higher cost of newborn photography is related to the specialized skills and expertise required, the time-intensive nature of the sessions, the investment in equipment and props, and the overall expenses of running a photography business.

4 /What areas do you service?

Indoor sessions take place at my studio in Paso Robles, Ca in San Luis Obispo County. I also offer in-home newborn sessions at an additional cost. For outdoor sessions, I shoot on location in the Central Valley and the Central Coast areas.
